Client Albums: Ashton and Rons’ Moab Desert Wedding
A Dreamy Wedding Weekend in the heart of the Red Dirt Desert.
I’ve known Ashton for nearly a decade- our connection began when I met her sibling through a digital media after-school program years ago. Being invited to document such an important chapter in her life felt incredibly full-circle. Watching her marry Ron, surrounded by people who have loved and supported them from near and far, was nothing short of an honor.
Moab is a place I’ll forever be charmed by. I lived there for a year during middle school, and returning always feels like stepping back into a familiar, grounding rhythm. The red rock landscapes, endless skies, and quiet magic of the desert make it one of my favorite places to photograph—especially for destination weddings and elopements.
My partner Brandon and I arrived in town on Friday, soaking up the desert air and easing into the weekend. Early the next morning, I photographed Ashton and Ron’s first look at Dead Horse Point during sunrise. Watching the light spill over the canyon walls as they saw each other for the first time was an unforgettable way to start the celebration.
Right after the first look, Brandon and I were graciously invited to join the family hike to Delicate Arch. I was genuinely touched (and honestly surprised) to see how many family members traveled from across the country to be there. Sharing that experience together—laughing, hiking, and taking in one of Utah’s most iconic landmarks—was such a beautiful reminder of how weddings bring people together in unexpected ways.
On Sunday, everything came together at the stunning Red Earth Venue in Moab—a place I’ve dreamed of photographing for years. Ashton and Ron exchanged private vows on the property, creating a quiet, intimate moment just for the two of them before the celebration began. From there, the day unfolded effortlessly into one of the most joyful weddings I’ve had the pleasure of capturing.
Red Earth Venue was the perfect backdrop for their destination wedding. Nestled among Moab’s iconic red rocks, it offers an incredible blend of natural beauty and intentional design. As the sun dipped lower and the celebration carried on, the energy never faded. By the end of the night, I couldn’t help but join in—boogieing down alongside the most wonderful group of people, celebrating a love that felt as vibrant as the landscape itself.
